Imagine That

This probably isn't nearly as funny to everyone else but for some reason I found it greatly amusing. A vegan cafe in Memphis,TN called "Imagine" 86ed one of their regular customers for writing a less than stellar review. It seems they allow their children to do as they please in the dining area up to and including running around without diapers and climbing on tables to bend over and display their butt hole. Another sibling came by the customers table to stare at her while she was trying to eat,then the child preceded to yodel. There were employees observing the happenings but instead of herding the kids to another area they just watched and laughed. I say the cafe got off easy,the customer could have lodged a complaint with the health department.

What Next?

It seems like a few people are turning away from street drugs somewhat but that doesn't mean they still aren't looking for a buzz. From what I could find the trend of snorting chocolate started in Europe where raw cocoa is taking the place of alcohol,cocaine and ecstasy. It can be used in pill,powder or added to a drink. which supposedly releases endorphins,relaxes muscle and boosts energy (does that sound like a contradiction to anyone else?) Not to be outdone a Florida based company is offering Coco Loko , a chocolate snuff infused with gingko bilboa,taurine,and guarana which is available online for $24.99. The product has not been approved by the FDA and it is warning that inhaling solids can cause damage to sinuses.

Am I Missing Something?

Stop me if I'm wrong but isn't the purpose of camouflage in general to make something difficult to see? So why is it that people want to drive around in camo vehicles? Do they have a death wish and they figure rather than an obvious suicide attempt they will just drive around until someone else takes them out and maybe other people in the deal? I can kind of see it if a person was trying to make an old beat up rig not as noticeable but some of these rigs are expensive vehicles. Sure they are still visible in most sittings but why take a chance when it could mean someones life?
 

Traditions

I was thinking how funny it was that a mayor in Mexico married a crocodile in the tradition of the Chontal Indians dating back to 1789 in order to bring good luck and prosperity to the fisherman. After a few moments reflection I remembered a local ceremony that recently took place honoring the Chinook salmon and realized that I was being a bigot by thinking the Mexican ceremony was any less sacred to their people. Are we all doomed to become bigots because of a certain bigoted leader always in our faces with his bigotry? I know I am going to make a conscious effort to avoid that particular slippery slope. Shower Art

What started as a joke has turned into more than 400 works of shower hair art. The artist behind art is also a painter and sculptor so we don't need to worry if she quits her day job. The "hair pieces" take an hour to an hour and a half to complete and some are quite intricate. My shower doesn't have a screen over the drain so I won't have to consider saving my hair to give shower art a try,of course I could always use the hair out of the hairbrush if I was so inclined.

Pee Power

I am so not getting this trend to have to be entertained every second of every day,but apparently I am in the minority. Soon there will be no need for those of you who are bathroom readers to supply your own material because there are now video games being made for your entertainment. The games were first introduced in Japan earlier this year and more recently in a London pub. The video games are activated by the urine stream in men's urinals. There is a choice of a skiing simulation,multiple choice trivia game and knock down the penguins shooting gallery. The games have brief advertisements before and after the game with the entire run time right around a minute. At first I thought it would make the men's restrooms a bigger problem but since they have to take careful aim to win at the games it might be a good thing.

Dog Days Begin

Actually the Dog Days start on July 3 and end August 11, they are called Dog Days because the Sun occupies the same region of the sky as Sirius (aka the Dog Star because it is the brightest in the Canis Major constellation) and now on with the month!
