Grin and Bare It

A nudist couple in England recently posted a request with an online moving marketplace for a mover willing to work in the nude. The marketplace didn't have a category for nude movers but agreed to inquire with the other movers who listed with them. They are moving from an apartment (flat) into a house next month so presumably there wouldn't be to terribly much to move and the pay offered is $2,673. Seems like an odd request to me,why would it matter if they hired someone with or without clothes? It almost seems like opening a door for a new and unusual discrimination. The moving marketplace was hopeful it would turn out to be a new service they could offer.

Stress Relief?

Everyone has their own way of dealing with things and what works for some may not work for others. With that said what a Japanese production company,"The Scare Squad" is doing to relieve stress sounds more like it is for the actors than for the customers but the claim is that a good scream is great stress relief. They put the customer in a 6 1/2 foot windowed coffin where they are subjected to 15 minutes of chainsaw wielding zombies, hands poking at them, and getting squirted with water all while listening to a horror story. At least the price is right,$7.60 per show and the otherwise out of work actors get a chance to perform.

Good Old Days?

A lot of people aren't old enough to remember when flying used to be fun though I recall flying being almost as much fun as the destination but since 9/11 those days are gone,of course the pandemic may bring about changes for the better,or at least a person can dream. But I digress,a New York video gaming company is releasing a new game this fall called "Airplane Mode". In the game you are flying economy and have to deal with all that loveliness, you know if you've ever flown economy what that might entail. Part of the thought behind the game is to remind people who are thinking they miss traveling exactly what it is they're missing. It sounds annoying to me,though they didn't mention if the person in front of you laid their seat back into your lap.
The game offers all the excitement of flying long-haul in economy without any of the tedium of arriving in an exotic location.

That Stinks

This is not the first time a phone has been lost in a toilet and recovered and probably won't be the last but the people working for A-1 Sanitation in Montana deserve some kind of award for first of all noticing the phone before they might have damaged it,then plucking it out of the poop with grabbers, letting it dry in the sun for a few days after cleaning it with wipes, allowing it to charge then not being able to unlock it. Still the workers were undaunted and contacted Apple to get information for the owner from the serial number which they didn't have. They finally put the SIM card into another phone and bingo, there was the owners name and phone number. The crappy phone was returned to its owner.

Lend Me Your Ear

I agree with this man from Germany in that one's appearance is less important than a person's inner values and everyone deserves acceptance, but when a person willfully mutilates themselves isn't that in a way mocking people who have suffered losses? This man recently had his ears removed and is keeping them in a jar and is excited for his next step, which is having the tip of his nose removed and his eyeballs tattooed. He says he realizes that he has made himself basically unemployable and doesn't have a girlfriend,so how's his theory working out for him? I would like to know two things, where does he get the money to pay for these procedures, and who on earth could justify cutting off someone's ears,or nose for that matter in the name of art?

Easy Money?

For some folks this task would literally be a walk in the park, the rest of us need not apply. An internet company is offering $1,000 for a person to digitally detox. The challenge is only for 48 hours so depending on the severity of your addiction it might be doable. The company is also including a stipend to cover the cost of renting an RV to stay in at a National Park. The requirements are: at least 25 years old, valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the US.  When the 48 hours are up the company will provide an internet hot spot for the winner to share their experience online.
