Gas Tax?

 New Zealand is an ecology first country which is great, every country and person needs to do better and there is little time to spare but maybe their latest step is a bit harsh. They have proposed a methane tax for farmers of sheep and cattle (who outnumber  people on the island nation) since the animals  burps and farts produce a significant amount of methane. Cattle and sheep have complex digestive systems with multiple stomachs which causes their food to ferment. The government is suggesting feed additives that will prevent the gas. I don't remember if I did a post on it or not but orange peels have been found to solve the problem and cows love them,the only problem is shipping without spoilage but they are working on making the peels into pellets to solve that dilemma,so maybe they are forward thinking with their fart/burp tax. Isn't it nice when problems are solved by recycling things from nature? 

Now You're Cooking!

 A 20 year old Arizona man started a cooking show on TikTok during the COVID lock down featuring his rooftop environmental oven but has recently moved the show to his Honda Accord which offers a more consistent 200 degree oven. He has cooked steaks,burgers,pizza and even a cake. The burgers don't look half bad and he says the steak is a perfect medium but it looks ugly so I'm taking points off for presentation! 

Sologamy

 Apparently this isn't the first case of someone marrying themselves since there is a word for it. In the past I've done posts about people marrying inanimate objects and other curious items so this isn't really that far out there though I must say at age 24 a persons thoughts are not always that certain. Her reason for marrying herself was she wanted to be a bride but didn't want to marry anyone so to show her self love she decided to throw herself a wedding followed by a honeymoon and hopes it will encourage other women to practice self love. 

Doggy Dramas

 Way back I did a post on a special TV station for dogs to watch while their owners were at work or otherwise occupied. Today's post is further research on doggy TV,what they may or may not enjoy and see or don't see. First they see images differently,to them the movements are more jerky like early black and white movies plus they only see blue and yellow,but it's the movement that catches their attention,that and the sounds. They enjoy hearing dogs barking,doorbells and various animal noises,they also are able to recognize their fellow canines though they mostly know they aren't real because they have no scent but that doesn't stop the occasional check behind the TV to see if an animal got in when they blinked. 

Fun Guys Conversation

 This might come as incredibly disturbing news for vegetarians but research has shown plants and mushrooms in particular communicate. Their vocabulary uses around 50 "words" and the messages are sent through organized electrical impulses. Now the question is what do fungi talk about? The answer is the same thing that most other plants talk about which is threats in their vicinity,so there you have it the vegetarians are doomed to starve since they won't eat sentient beings!
