Saucy

According to a survey conducted by Heinz 95% of people enjoy a sauce with their meal, and 73% use more than one sauce at a time. With those statistics in mind Heinz decided to make a combination of 14 sauces and named it Every Sauce. If you happen to be one of those saucy individuals I have some good news and some bad news...it's a UK only product other than 100 bottles given to US consumers through a random drawing, but Heinz may bring the sauce to the States at a later date. Danger! Flying Hippos

It's surprising to hear that the way hippos move on land was only recently documented until you take into consideration that they spend most of their time in the water not to mention they are dangerous to observe too closely. What the researchers found was the hippos main gait is a trot which is unusual for any land animal but especially one the size of a hippo and that trot has them airborne once they are up to their top speed. This information will help vets diagnose and monitor the animals when they are in distress plus it will be an aid in their evolutionary story, though they will maybe be even more dangerous with their hippo trot.

My Decision

No real post today but I need to let everyone who reads my blog on Facebook know that I will not be posting there after today. The posts that they didn't allow were not nefarious in any way so it feels wrong to continue with them, I apologize to anyone this effects but I refuse to be agitated when their AI randomly decides to exclude my blog for content. I started writing this blog to keep my mind active and hopefully learn a few things along the way not to feel persecuted/harassed by a bot. Oh, I almost forgot to mention for anyone who's interested that I think the reason AI immediately rejected the two posts in question was that I used initials in the title on the June 24 post and the number 27 in yesterdays post, but who knows?

Perhaps you're wondering what 27 has to do with anything, the answer is the number of official versions of the American flag. The original flag had 13 stars and 13 stripes it was approved in June of 1777, that version lasted until 1795 when two more states were added making 15 stars and 15 stripes, from 1818 on the design went back to 13 stripes with changes only in the number of stars until we reached our current version with 50 stars after adding Alaska and Hawaii with the last change happening on July 4, 1960. An Ohio high school student made the current design and only received a B- for his efforts.

Mild Hunger Jelly

The Japanese have created a soda that turns into a jelly in your stomach, kind of like M&M's but not really! It is meant to reduce hunger by becoming a heavy jelly once it reacts to the acids in the stomach, it's not meant to be a meal replacement only to get a person by between meals without resorting to possibly unhealthy snacking. It is called In Tansan and is only available in lemon flavor or grapefruit, it can be purchased through Amazon for $9 for six cans or 30 cans for $44. The grapefruit flavor has 0 calories and the lemon flavor has 18 so I'm thinking this was meant for use as a diet aid?
