I don't think I've ever heard of magnet fishing before but I suppose as hobbies go it might be more sustainable than actually fishing for fish. The object is to pick up scrap metal which can then be sold,though I think the market for scrap is less than stellar at this time. A Florida couple were magnet fishing when they pulled in a hand grenade...did they cut bait? of course they didn't they were in Florida! They pulled it in and put it in the bucket with the rest of the day's finds,put the bucket in the trunk and drove to the Taco Bell then called the police. Needless to say the police treated it as live device and evacuated the area,once it was safely inside a disposal container it was back to business as usual,or maybe that should be business as unusual considering that it's Florida.
