This is one of the scariest mutations I've ever read about, and if mutations work their way up the food chain maybe it is natures way of trying to save the things humans have endangered. People sometimes keep crayfish as pets in home aquariums which isn't a problem but one crayfish in particular began laying fertilized eggs all by herself and guess what all those hundreds of eggs were also able to clone themselves. Need I go on to explain how quickly this snowballed and how some of the less responsible owners decided to release all the extra crayfish into the wild, now Europe is being over run with marbled crayfish which is certain to risk other species. The only hope of controlling the crayfish at this point is if a disease that doesn't effect other species wipes out the cloning creatures. Sometimes is seems like we are living in a horror movie.
