A Romanian cobbler is promoting social distancing with size 75 shoes that are about 2 1/2 feet long. He was inspired to create the shoes when he noticed people weren't keeping a safe distance apart. I can't fault the guy for trying though I see several problems with his device,first as he points out, more than one person has to be wearing the shoes to create the proper distance which seems unlikely in any given public situation,secondly it seems like they would invite accidents with all that extra shoe not only for the wearer to trip over but there is plenty for other people to step on,causing the wearing to fall,but what do I know? I'm not a cobbler. If anyone is interested they can be had online for $115.
