Once they get over the mom's minor faux pas they will have something to laugh about for years to come. A lesson could also be learned not to put mom in charge of booking the hotel for the vacation but to also make sure whoever does the reservations takes note of the fact it is a swinger's hotel. Along with a room with mirrors on the ceiling the hotel also supplied free sex toys and of course a supply of vodka and champagne. On the plus side the walls may have been soundproof.
