Fuzzy Wuzzy was originally a poem by Kipling describing the British soldiers respect for Hadendoa warriors though today the poem would be considered racist, it seemed to fit nicely with today's post. As a 5 year old Lyla was diagnosed with uncombable hair syndrome which manifests as silvery,dry,frizzy,wiry hair that is impossible to comb. One of Lyla's doctors explained that the hair follicles are heart shaped instead of the usual oval shape and that causes the frizz. Unlike most people with this syndrome which can develop from infancy to 12 years old and becomes part of their life,Lyla's hair has calmed down now that she had turned 9 and it can be combed pretty much normally,her parents wonder if it was a side effect of her childhood medical issues,though the doctors assure them it is genetic.
