The Cat Did It

Sure, blame the poor innocent feline! Okay, granted cats are a bit on the mischievous side but this man was clearly in the wrong when he blamed the cat for his wife's pregnancy. Now back the bus up,of course the cat didn't impregnate his wife but he did, as was his habit, open the drawer where both the Q-tips and condoms were stored and he did chew the cotton ends off of the swabs and scatter the condoms about the bathroom, but when the man cleaned up the mess he failed to check the condoms to see if they had been damaged. A few weeks later his wife started feeling nauseous in the morning and her breasts were tender. It was only after the pregnancy test showed positive that the man thought to check the remaining condoms. As you can see,it was clearly not the cat's fault.

Signs of the Times?

Since the pandemic has left everyone with more time on their hands some folks have turned that extra time into creativity, then again there is very little difference between genius and insanity. With that said I'll leave it up to you to decide.

Put That in Your Pipe

Today's post is a twofer, along with bagpipe news,or maybe olds for some of you,you will also be getting an optical illusion in hope that someone can tell me where the third girl is. Before I get started why isn't olds a word?
Everyone associates bagpipes with Scotland though they didn't really originate there. They started out in Sumeria in the third millennium B.C. as a double pipe and made their way north from there. Eventually they became part of the military with the Roman Empire and when Caesar invaded Britain he hid the bagpipers from the mounted Celtic forces. When the Calvary began to move in  Caesar ordered the pipes to play and the sound of the nasal droning spooked the horses allowing the Roman victory.

There are supposed to be 3 girls faces in this picture. I can only find 2,help!

Thoughts on Thinking

I found these quotes on thinking that seemed apt. Enjoy.
"Everything is funny as long as it's happening to someone else." Will Rogers
"The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts working the moment you get up in the morning and doesn't quit until you get to the office." Robert Frost
"Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask,'Where have I gone wrong?' Then a voice says to me,'This is going to take more than one night'." Charles Schulz

Sick Puppy

A 21 year old Austin,TX woman quit her job as an optician to pursue her hobby full time...drum roll please...being a dog,or more accurately filming herself being a dog. She says she always enjoyed pretending she was a dog as a child and never grew out of it. She now makes six figures a month doing what dogs do,walking on a leash, playing fetch, chasing balls and taking baths. When she first started she had subscribers who paid $20 a month to watch her be a dog,but now that her fans have found her she does customized videos for $1,200 which make the bulk of her revenue. No animals are involved in the films. I was thinking that maybe Mr. Shed Head (from yesterday's post) and her could get together and have a relationship as dog and doghouse?

Shed Head

At first glance one might assume that Mr. Shedworth's face/head covering is another response to the pandemic, though according to him it is not. He claims he was born with a shed where most people keep their heads and both his mother and father were shed heads. At around 13 a lump started growing on the roof and it eventually turned into what is now a functioning chimney. The shed can be heard playing loud music at times but he explains that comes from inside him and is not anything to do with the shed itself. Mr. Shedworth claims he just wants to be left alone to live his life. I'm all about inclusion but in this case it seems like a little counseling may be in order. Sorry, the smart ass in me insists that I add,"What if there's a fire in the shed?"

Changing Signs

Since technology became part of everyday living there have been many changes, some obvious and others not so much. For instance the case of the phone, younger people have no idea where the phrase hang up came from, though I think most realize it means to end the call. What would the modern term be? Click off? Then there was the old fashioned hand sign with the pinkie finger by the mouth and the thumb held next to the ear that signified making a call but today when people are asked how to signify making a call they simply hold their palm to the side of their head. I was wondering this morning as I was trying to break into a double sealed container what kind of permanent changes will come from this pandemic. Time will tell.
