Since technology became part of everyday living there have been many changes,some obvious and others not so much. For instance the case of the phone,younger people have no idea where the phrase hang up came from,though I think most realize it means to end the call. What would the modern term be? Click off? Then there was the old fashioned hand sign with the pinkie finger by the mouth and the thumb held next to the ear that signified making a call but today when people are asked how to signify making a call they simply hold their palm to the side of their head. I was wondering this morning as I was trying to break into a double sealed container what kind of permanent changes will come from this pandemic. Time will tell.
