Presentation is an important part of the culinary arts but is there a border that can be crossed making it more art than edible? A cafe in Taiwan is drawing in the crowds with their gelato creations shaped like labrador, pug,or shar pei puppies. It takes about 5 hours to make each puppy and they have to be frozen at -20 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve the hair like appearance. The end result sells for $3.50 for the small and $6 for the large. Many customers have mixed feelings about eating the pups because they are so realistic looking.
