Lakeview, a small town in Oregon, was faced with not having the funds to have their streets plowed. A group of mostly middle-aged and elderly men and women volunteered to pose nude for a calendar to raise money. They got their inspiration from the 2003 movie, "Calendar Girls" where a group of middle-aged women in England pose naked for a calendar to raise money for a leukemia wing at a local hospital. The organizer got a lukewarm reception to the idea from the town council not believing they could come up with 12 people to populate the months. Proving the sceptics wrong the calendar has so far raised $13,000 and plans are in the works for next years shoot which may feature more nudity and classic cars.
