In a surprising twist of fate a Connecticut restaurant owner was fined $250 for putting a sarcastic sign in the window saying,"Attn: dog owners. This is a pay-per-pee flower pot. (Pay inside or leave your address and we'll kindly return the favor.)" He was trying to discourage dog owners from allowing their charges to urinate on the flower pot outside his establishment but instead broke two city ordinances for being a public nuisance according to the city's public space enforcement officer. The man plans to appeal. This seems like a damned if you do,damned if you don't affair since I would imagine if a health inspector was to notice the flower pot while in use as a toilet the owner would be fined as well. I guess the solution is to get rid of the pot.
