Huutajat is a Finnish men's shouting choir who started in the late 1980s with 20 men dressed in black suits doing surprise performances in the Oulu region. The group has now become about 30 strong and is widely recognized as an art form. They perform national anthems, children's ditties,or international treaties. The group is conducted by their founder and can be heard doing complex rhythmic structures or simple but loud reading. They hope to one day perform at the White House.
