Residents of an apartment building in Bavaria, Germany called the police to investigate the late night ringing of their doorbells thinking it must be teenagers pranking them. Instead of finding kids playing the ding dong ditch game the police discovered the real culprit, a slug. The pesky invertebrate had spent its evening crawling back and forth on the doorbell plate which explained why no one was showing up on cameras when the ringing occurred. The officers removed the prankster to a grassy area and let it go with a warning.
