Even though some Q-Tip packages come with warnings about not sticking the swabs into the ear canal people still do it. It's not because people don't believe the warning or even that they're daredevils, it's because it feels good. The reason it feels good is that the ear is sensitive, thought to be an erogenous zone and also connected to the vagus nerve which when stimulated can cause arousal. Of course there are other reasons as well such as irritation or itchiness, not to mention it kind of tickles. Experts claim using Q-Tips pushes earwax deeper into the ear causing more problems than just leaving it alone as a certain amount of earwax is necessary to prevent germs, dirt and irritants from entering the canal.
