People who have sleep problems are willing to try just about anything to achieve that sweet oblivion. One gal went to a therapist seeking a way to cope with that inner voice that always wants to talk when it's time to sleep. The therapist recommended getting up and writing down everything she was stressing about and bingo,problem solved. Now for those of you who know that method won't work for you because just the act of getting out of bed ruins your chance for sleeping,I've found a way that works for me. When the continuous loop begins its maddening repetition I mentally step in and say,"shut up!" Rinse and repeat as necessary. It may sound a bit harsh to some of you but it's a whatever works situation.
