Finally an animal study has explained what they were trying to achieve with their research. Usually when I read about studies about teaching dogs to drive or whatever there is rarely any explanation of what they were trying to accomplish which often leaves me scratching my head. This time the reason for teaching pigs to play video games was laid out very simply..."improving pig welfare". By showing the pigs were capable of solving problems the study also showed how they perceive their interactions with humans and their environment. I'm all for animal rights but if we quit eating the ones we typically eat won't everyone eventually go hungry?
