Many of the brands/names of everyday things weren't always the name we know them by today,for instance Pepsi started out as "Brad's Drink" in 1893 but was changed to Pepsi-Cola in 1898 because it was helpful for dyspepsia.
Google started off as "Back Rub" as it used back links to determine the importance of web pages.Amazon started life as "Relentless" an online bookstore,in fact if you enter relentless.com into your browser it will take you to Amazon. Cadabra as in Abracadabra, was also considered but it was pointed out that it sounded to much like cadaver.
