The golden/yellow arches of McDonald's is not happy accident,the color yellow acts as an appetite stimulant plus it grabs attention,connotes happiness,optimism and friendliness,not to mention it is a trademark recognized worldwide. So why is one logo blue instead of the standard yellow/golden? The only McDonald's in the world to have blue arches is located in Sedona,AZ where there is a law restricting the color of buildings where it might detract from the landscape. How did that work out for them you ask? The blue arches have made Sedona's McDonald's a tourist hot spot which is probably not what the town had in mind when they made the rule.
