With the price of eggs yet to come down people are looking for less expensive alternatives to hide and dye on Easter. Some folks are opting for dying marshmallows or potatoes and I imagine from the kids point of view dyed marshmallows would be better than dyed eggs...but potatoes? first of all would you boil them before you dye them? would you shave them into an eggish shape? and what child wouldn't be happy to have a dyed potato in their Easter basket? Of course there are other ways to go, plastic eggs, cardboard eggs wrapped in foil, Play-Doh eggs, and several varieties of craft kit eggs. With all these options one is still left to wonder about the annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House, did it get the ax from DOGE? If not what budget will the eggs come out of? and will any of the egg alternatives roll?
