A hotel chain in Japan appropriately named Henn na, meaning "strange", has replaced their human receptionists with humanoid bots. The idea was to expedite the check in time though it has some draw backs like freaking out the hotel guests plus the bots tend to misinterpret commands and several other malfunctions so what was meant to make less work for humans has actually created more for the real people. Seems kind of screwed up to bring in humans as clean up batters when high tech fails.
