A recent study set out to determine what makes a person cool. Surprisingly 6,000 people from 12 different countries had similar beliefs on what makes a person cool. There are six traits cool people share, they are perceived to be extroverted, hedonistic, powerful, adventurous, open and autonomous. Taking the study a step further they asked what the difference between "cool" and "good" were. The two groups shared several traits but the good people were more conforming, traditional, secure, warm, agreeable, universalistic, conscientious, and calm. Across the board being kind and helpful were considered as a good person trait rather than a cool person. Bottom line...it's better to be good than cool!
