This story does my heart good seeing that the tides are turning on parenting from trying to give them everything to having the children earn or at least participate in getting the things they want. This mom was particularly clever,instead of making a list of chores her children needed to do she announced a hiring event for kitchen manager,lead housekeeper and laundry supervisor. If you want it work for it,earn it! She even had them fill out applications for the positions plus she offered a credit union where they were allowed to build their credit by doing their jobs well and could eventually borrow from it once they were established. Not only is she teaching them work ethic they are also learning financial responsibility. Way to go mom!
