Maybe since black swans are native to Australia that is the reason Reggie didn't get along with the native mute swans at Stratford-upon-Avon in England. Reggie got his nickname, Mr. Terminator as he tried to drown many of the mute swans and disrupted nesting swans not to mention terrorizing other birds and tourists. It was decided Reggie needed to be captured and relocated to Dawlish where there are others of his kind. The locals were sad to see him go but realized it was best for him, the mute swans and the river in general.
