Most everyone has heard about McDonald's burgers having a long shelf life so it should come as no surprise that not one but two Quarter Pounders have hit the 30 year mark! One of the burgers originated in Australia when a teen asked his friend to hold onto his burger because he wasn't hungry right then, so being a good friend he held on and on and on. His mother tried to throw it out but he hid it in a box and put it in a cupboard. Fast forward to present time and the burger now makes appearances on news shows when not sitting quietly wherever it was last dropped. The second Senior burger is from Texas and was bought by a teacher for a science experiment. She threw it in her trunk and forgot about it, then it was rediscovered many times in many places over the years and is currently in the custody of her grandchildren. Guiness can't accept them for world records as neither has a reciept...of course the reciepts wouldn't be legible after 30 years but the wrappings the burgers came in date back to the 90s. McDonald's claims their burgers rot unless they are kept in special conditions. Hmm, like on desktops, drawers or trunks?
