I believe I've figured out the deal with the monoliths that have been cropping up around the world. Until recently they were all metal,then one made of gingerbread popped up in San Francisco,CA. The way I see it the other monoliths were all placed to focus an energy field on the one in San Francisco in time to bake the gingerbread. The structure was discovered Christmas morning by a jogger who thought it was a post until he got close enough to smell the gingerbread. The city parks director said,"Looks like a great spot to get baked." He also said he will leave it up until the cookie crumbles.
