More Better?

Humans have a habit of messing with nature that seldom turns out to be a good thing. This includes animals, they have tinkered with the physical traits they wanted without regard how those exaggerated traits would affect the animals general health to the point that some breeds can no longer do the jobs they were originally intended to do. For instance the Bulldog's muzzle was shortened to allow it to breath while it was clamped onto a bull but has led to the dogs having breathing problems and an intolerance for heat, they were also bred to be stockier which has made them prone to hip dysplasia. Every purebred dog today is less healthy than their ancestors thanks to humans making things better...or not. The following are before and after examples.
