Lobstrosities

In the past I've done posts about lobsters that were abnormally large and their very size saving them from being consumed only to be kept in a tank as an oddity. Today's piece is about Jethro the half and half lobster who is living his life out at the Saint Andrews Aquarium in New Brunswick. While looking up information about Jethro I also found a couple of other oddities. Lucky is a translucent lobster who authorities believe is about a one in 100 million rarity. Another find was a Pepsi can logo that had become stamped into part of a lobster's claw. The one thing all the lobstrosities have in common is they were caught in the Bay of Fundy which according to researchers is quite polluted with trash. It makes a person wonder if these are natural mutations or if they are caused by the pollution.
