Most people know the day after Thanksgiving as Black Friday but plumbers call it Brown Friday and it's the busiest day of the year for plumbers. There is an average of 50% more calls than any other Friday and 21% more calls from Thursday through Sunday than any other week of the year. The reasons are a combination or maybe perfect storm of plumbing problems, clogged sinks, toilets and garbage disposals. Often times the problems has been building for some time and become overwhelmed with the extra use plus Thanksgiving dishes are all drain cloggers just waiting to happen. It's easy enough to avoid if one just watches what goes in the sink and the garbage disposal, though the toilet is a little trickier with the extra usage. The good news is if you have to wait around for the plumber you won't have to fight the masses for those elusive Black Friday deals.
