Getting Their Sh*t Together

Maybe the world should just hand the reins over to the children when it comes to problem solving before they get old enough to think of reasons their solutions won't work. For instance eighth graders in the Philippines solved two problems at once when they decided to fix the dog feces problem by sun drying it and mixing it with cement powder to form construction bricks for a lower cost than other bricks available. It makes more sense than picking it up and having it end up in a landfill where eventually it will be introduced into the water table which was the reason for picking it up in the first place and this way it can be made into something useful and may even help build shelters for the homeless.
