Poor Casper

I'm not condoning petting zoos though I'm also not condemning the one in Louisiana that is currently the home of Casper the camel. Casper is a congenial sort of guy and used to being petted but when a couple with their dog off leash starting throwing dog treats into Casper's enclosure followed by first the dog then the woman Casper became agitated. He pinned the woman against a wall then sat on her at which time she bit his balls in order to get him to move off of her. It's a sad day for humans when the two animals involved were the only ones acting rationally.
Authorities say a woman was chasing after her loose dog when she was attacked by a camel
The 18-month old camel was spooked by the wandering dog and woman chasing it, so the camel chased the woman, eventually pinning her against the wall of a building
The camel, named Caspar, then sat on top of the woman, nearly crushing her
Tiger Truck Stop owner Michael Sandlin, pictured left, has said he hopes to bring in more animals to build a children's petting zoo.
Plenty of people like to stop off along the I-10 to look at the unusual animals in the enclosure
Most customers are respectful of the animal's space and just come to feed and pet them
Authorities didn't find reasons to hold the truck stop liable for their injuries because the camel was enclosed and signs warning visitors to stay out are posted every 10 feet along the fence
