Along with a fresh year we also get a list of phrases,cliches if you will, that were given such a workout the previous year that they are now being retired. I welcome the retirement of most of these,some of the others not so much. The list includes: Wait,what?,no worries,the new normal,supply chain,you're on mute,circle back,asking for a friend,deep dive,that being said and at the end of the day.The list was first introduced in 1976 at Lake Superior State University and is updated every year.
