Denim Forensics

If you're planning on committing a crime perhaps you should consider your wardrobe with more attention. Both the FBI and the justice system are using jeans (not to mention genes!) to identify people caught on camera. Experts can tell one pair of jeans from another by certain markers like: wear marks, creases, and faded spots known as the denim fingerprint. They claim no two pair of jeans that have been worn are exactly the same, of course there are detractors to this method but I'm thinking that comes mainly from defense lawyers. They have also been able to make matches with plaid shirts so when considering what to wear to a crime scene it is best to go with sweat pants and a non-descript shirt.
