Tongue in Cheek?

These Guinness World Record holders would have a difficult time keeping their tongues in their respective cheeks in fact I can't believe they were able to survive puppy-hood let alone life as an adult dog. The current record holder,an 8 year old St. Bernard, is named Mochi and her tongue measures 7.3 inches from lip to tip. Before Mochi achieved the dubious honor a boxer named Brandy held the record with a 17 inch tongue. I can't imagine how these animals can eat or do much of anything an average dog can do. Mochi's owners say she drools a lot but I'm not sure if that is because of her tongue or due to her breed.

Brandy the boxer has the world's longest dog tongue - 17 inches (43 cm). She's perfectly happy and healthy, says owner John Scheid. He says when she was born, she alreayd had a Grown Up Size tongue and it's just kept going. He also adds that it's quite a thing to see her eat as she makes a bit of a mess, with food and water pretty much flying everywhere. John has a lot of patience. Brandy has her own fan club and website, www.tungdog.com . It's a full fledged business, especially after making
