Beware Low Flying Iguana

Today's post offers further proof that the Florida Syndrome is quickly spreading and getting out of hand. A 49 year old man walked into an Ohio restaurant and laid down in a booth, when a waitress came with a menu the man threw the menu at her,she notified the manager of the problem. The manager came and tried to talk to the man who pulled an Iguana out of his shirt and threw it at the manager. The man then picked the iguana up from the floor and left. Police were later called to the YMCA where a man was making a disturbance and recognized the man from the surveillance tape from the restaurant and arrested him. The man is charge with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and cruelty to animals. The police nicknamed the iguana Copper and took him to the humane society,Copper was diagnosed with a broken leg, metabolic bone disease and poor body condition. We can only hope the man gets the help he needs and will no longer be allowed around pets/animals.
An iguana was transferred to the care of a local humane society after being weaponized in Ohio, police say.
This photo provided by Painesville police shows an officer holding an iguana at the police station on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in Painesville, Ohio. Police say an unruly customer at a restaurant pulled the iguana from under his shirt, swung it around and threw it at the manager. Police say they apprehended the suspect a few blocks away in the city roughly 30 miles (48 kilometers) northeast of Cleveland. Authorities did not say what provoked the attack.
