Bow,What Bow?

 I'm thinking this must be a thing from somewhere other than the US,that or I've never had the same kind of panties as everyone else has. Actually since the panties were also referred to as knickers my guess is that it is UK or Europe related. Okay,I'll quit thinking out loud and get on with it. Wherever this was women's briefs all come with a bow in the front and there is a bit of history to explain the bow. In Renaissance times when panties were first introduced for hygienic reasons,warmth and to save the wearer from embarrassment if they fell off a horse elastic had not yet been invented so the bow was how the panties were made to stay up,plus it aided in knowing which side went in the front if they were dressing in the dark. So there you have it, even if you've never had a bow on your underwear there's an outdated reason why they're there.
