For some reason I was under the impression that European countries were way ahead of the US on environmental issues though after reading about England using artificial turf in the center of roundabouts instead of a natural ground cover I'm thinking I was giving undue credit. But wait,it gets worse! When weeds started growing through the fake grass a council employee was seen with a weed whacker trimming the weeds further dispersing the nasty micro plastics. When observers complained to the council they apologized and said he should have been pulling the weeds by hand. By every indication we're all doomed!
