A few fun language facts for today's offering. Japanese is the fastest spoken language due to its compact words and unique structure. Many countries claim English as one of their official languages, except the US as there is no official language in the US. The Khmer or Cambodian alphabet is the longest at 74 letters. Even though there is an international sign language there are also 300 different sign languages. The Hawaiian language has around 200 words for rain which can be attributed to their deep connection to nature.
