A Vietnamese man was admitted to a hospital after suffering from headaches and loss of vision for the past 5 months. A CT scan revealed two broken chopsticks protruding from his nose into his brain. When the doctors questioned the man about the chopsticks he was initially baffled until he finally remembered a night out drinking when he got into an altercation and ended up in the ER where they patched him up and sent him home. This is the part that defies logic...how could a person not notice chopsticks in their nose? chopsticks are about the same size as a normal sized nostril so it seems like it would be hard to miss having a pair inside your nostrils. Oh, the man is fine now, they were able to remove the chopsticks and repair the damage though it wasn't mentioned if he was referred to help for his drinking.
