Today's offering is some unrelated items that captured my attention...Betty White is older than sliced bread. Wonder bread introduced sliced bread in 1928,Betty was born in 1922. In 1943 sliced bread was banned in the US as a wartime conservation measure. The fax machine was invented in 1843,the same year thousands of people traveled west on the Oregon Trail. Tiffany & Co. (the jewelry store) was founded in 1837 years before Italy was formed as a country (1861). The guillotine was still in use in France when the first "Star Wars" film was released (1977). Who knew?
