Since I didn't know exactly what National Doodle Day was and it is being celebrated today I decided to check it out. Apparently Doodle Day started as a UK fundraiser for epilepsy and became worldwide in 2004. The event offers celebrity doodles for sale and encourages everyone both to make donations and send their doodles in to be judged and awarded prizes. This is not the same deal as Google Doodle which is a separate competition involving designing a temporary replacement for the Google logo to celebrate holidays and other special events. No matter which contest interests you I'm sure doodling has some therapeutic qualities and we can all use a bit of therapy!
