In an attempt to bring awareness to sexual harassment a men's only seat was installed in a Mexican subway. The seat features the shape of a man's body including the penis,a sign on the floor in front of the seat reads," It is annoying to travel this way,but not compared to the sexual violence women suffer in their daily commutes." The seat was meant to cause a stir and that purpose has certainly been realized. People were disturbed and uncomfortable just from looking at it and the ones who tried to pad it so they could sit there ended up standing instead. I'm uncertain if it is an effective way to tackle the problem or not but at least the world is trying to get beyond the harassment problem.
