In Conclusion

I rarely do posts back to back about the same subject but this time since it's fresh in mind from yesterday the time seems right. Yesterday's post was about obnoxious behavior on flights and though I didn't put my two cents worth in about a probable cause I would guess it is mainly psychological, part herd instinct topped off with a bit of claustrophobia but there is an actual physical reason. The low air pressure reduces the oxygen in our blood which in turn causes emotions to run amok. Flight attendants attribute it to the lizard brain taking over and add that many fliers even join the Mile Cry Club. Another symptom is drinking beverages that a person doesn't normally drink, ginger ale is number one followed by tomato juice. I am guilty of ordering tomato juice on flights but I like to think I order it to insure I get enough potassium while I'm being held captive.
The following photos are from the 1960s and shows the many changes from that time to the present, though it is odd no one is smoking in the photos.
