A Vancouver,BC independent business offering organic and fair trade produce came up with an odd take on reducing plastic bag use. Not only are they charging five cents per bag the bags are printed with names of businesses meant to shame the customers into remembering to bring their own reusable bags. So you're probably wondering how that is working out for them...it's pretty much a mixed bag (pun intended!) the bags are so popular they've decided to have them made up as reusable bags,another school of thought is why didn't they just get rid of the plastic altogether and go to paper?
