Just Saying

TSA is one of those semi-necessary services that are for the most part tolerated because there is no other option, but the curious part about the TSA is it wasn't formed until 11/19/2001 after the 9/11 attacks. Now let's look back into airline history to 11/24/71 when a passenger purchased a ticket under the name of D.B. Cooper. During the short flight he showed what he claimed to be dynamite to a stewardess and made his meager demands for $200,000 and 4 parachutes. Most of us recall or have since read about the rest of the story but 2 other people tried the same approach within months of Cooper and failed. The only change in security was making it impossible to open the rear door of  a 727 while in flight. The point of this brief look at TSA history is what was the 30 year holdup about? and what does carrying drinking water have to do with anything?
