Corny Story

I think I found out today why New Jersey's nickname is the Garden State. A man from Debtford reached out to the Guinness Book people after counting 28 ears of corn on a single plant. The previous record was for 16 ears which was set in 2009 in Swedesburg,Iowa. The man isn't a professional farmer he only grows tomatoes and a few other plants,in fact he didn't even plant the corn,a squirrel buried it last fall. That fact seems like it should put the plant in a different record category for most produce from a plant planted by an animal.
