A woman in England is celebrating her first wedding anniversary this year to an elder tree,if that isn't odd enough for you how about the fact that the traditional first anniversary gift is paper? Actually it is kind of a neat story,the woman claims to love the tree and not have any regrets about the marriage but the reason goes a little deeper. The park area where the tree is located was about to be torn out to put in a by-pass highway but so far Covid has stopped the construction,or maybe I should say destruction? She hopes the project will remain cancelled permanently,meanwhile she visits her husband/tree several times a week and has taken the last name Elder. Her boyfriend and two children usually stay home when she visits. What can I say? We need all the trees we can save at this point if we want the next generation to have anything resembling clean air to breath.
