The latest in French cuisine may not be pleasing to everyone's palate. The European Food Safety Agency recently approved meal worms as fit for human consumption along with other insects. It is good news environmentally and seems to be catching on with those brave enough to give it a try. Imagine if you will a meal consisting of pasta made for meal worm flour,sweet potato and sauteed insect larvae! Is your mouth watering yet? Nope mine isn't either.

He is making ceramic likenesses in a meditating Buddha pose,he says,their tradition is when a man is old he should devote his time to being relaxed instead of being tormented and fretting over various desires and uncertainties. Meditation is a look within ,where you let go and stop fighting for fame and fortune. I've always enjoyed clever ads and commercials,a few days ago I happened upon some excellent billboards and wrote down the name of the site so I could go back to it for a future post,today's that day though I couldn't find the site I wanted I finally came to one that would work. So without further ado I offer you amusing billboards.
Even though a specific location wasn't stated I'm thinking it has to be a UK thing,then again I haven't been in bars on any kind of regular basis for around 20 years so with that thought in mind it could just as well be local. I'm babbling again,what I'm getting at is a secret bartender code. Everyone knows what 86 means,either being out of something or someone is banished from an establishment,but what about 200,50,699,700,85,68,601,602,603,608,shoes and garnishes?200 means customer waiting,50 means to catch,699 is a hottie,700 is the hottest person in the room,85 is almost out,68 is restocked,601 and 602 are both for bathroom breaks,603 is a smoke break, 608 is getting something to eat,shoes means attractive woman unless it is a bar frequented by bartenders then garnishes is used instead of shoes. Can anyone in the US verify these?
I was going to title today's post "Blow Job" but thought that might not fly. The idea for the invention featured today came from a children's birthday party before the pandemic. The sun was shining at an angle that allowed those watching the candles being blown out to notice all the spittle involved. One of the men watching was able to develop an invention during lock-down that takes care of the germs on the cake problem and is loved by both parents and children. The device is called a Blowzee and a sensor inside turns on a fan which in turn extinguishes the candles instead of the child's breath. The Blowzee is available online and selling very well,people are buying enough to hand out as party favors since the kids think of them as toys and for the bonus round parents can enjoy spit free cake.

Pet owners all talk to there pets but most don't expect a intelligible response,though dogs tend to listen attentively and even seem to understand what is being said they have no way to clearly communicate,that is until a trained speech/language pathologist decided to apply her knowledge of augmentative communication. She put together a board with buttons that could be pressed with a paw then trained her dog to use the buttons to communicate. She started with belly+rub and when they were pressed she scratched her dog's belly. The button board now has 40 words which are used to create nearly complete sentences not to mention that the dog randomly tells her she loves her several times a day. How cool is that?
Everyone love cute animal pictures even when they are misbehaving,or maybe especially when they're misbehaving if they don't belong to you. I will caption the ones that may need it.
Earlier today as I was leaving the store I noticed a woman loading her groceries into her car,she had many,many paper bags which in turn made me wonder what the store charges for the bags they used to give away. Let me clarify I'm totally behind getting rid of plastic bags though I don't think that is going far enough to curb the waste since lots of people are willing to pay for the bags just for their convenience or maybe they simply don't believe the world is in a climate crisis so they don't use reusable bags as a protest against the plastic bag ban. But once again,I digress, my point,and I do have one, is if they really wanted to get serious about bags they would quit supplying them period,after a few trips to the store and having to load every item into you vehicle one by one then repeat the process when you got home I think would convince even the most die hard denier that maybe it would be best to get some reusable bags.
